Why should you buy from us? Well to start we are members of the better business bureau and have been in business for 34 years. More importantly since we are a family owned local business, we care about the same things that you care about, the safety and security of your home and family. There for we strive to give you value for your money. We do sales, service, and installation on fireplaces, stoves, fireplace inserts, add on wood burning furnaces, and outdoor boilers. We carry quality products that we can to proud to stand behind. They have a long standing reputation of great performance and longevity. We have products out there that we sold over 30 years ago and our customers tell us there still working great. Our hope is to be a solution to the community in these times of power outages, rising energy cost and hard economic times.

We believe radiant heating is the best for many reasons:

*ECONOMICALY– Gas prices are sky-rocketing. Even if you have to buy your firewood, heating with wood is the least expensive way to heat per BTU—. It is well below the price of natural gas, less than half the cost of fuel oil and electricity and about one third the cost of propane. Plus it’s the only fuel source that you can be control by cutting your own wood.

*SECURITY– Many other ways of heating are dependent on electricity for heat. Power outages after a major storm could last weeks. Even if your furnace is gas it needs electricity to run. Woodstoves give you heat even if the electricity goes out or you run out of propane. We also sell gas fireplaces that take work with out electricity. There is however no other fuel source besides wood that you can be in total control of cost. If you have a supply of wood it only cost you the labor the cut and split it. All other fuel supplies are always changing with supply and demand.

*Environmentally- Wood is a renewable resource. Also, as a tree grows it absorbs CO2 using energy from the sun. When the tree dies, it releases the Co2 back in the air. EPA certified, air tight, high efficiency wood stoves, while heating your home, emit no more Co2 into the air than a tree rotting on the forest floor. Additionally these stoves emit an average of 15 times less particulate matter into the air than older, non-certified stoves. Most people are unaware of how efficient and environmentally friendly wood burning stoves are. They tend to think about how much wood their grandfather’s stove went through. Times have changed. Some of the larger woodstoves we sell have something called extended burn technology which can get up to a 12 hour burn time or even hot coals 17 hours after starting.

*Comfort– Wood heat is a different kind of heat. It produces a combination of radiant and convection heat that warms your entire environment. This gives you a more warm, cozy, comfortable home. With furnaces how ever they only condition the air and when the furnace shuts off the air temperature changes rapidly. I'm sure you probably experienced this before, furnace that clicks on, then you get hot, and then click off and you get cold. Wow there really is something just magical about the beauty and warmth of a burning fire. You know on a real cold winter day, sometimes you just can’t seem to get warm. The only cure for it is to get in front of the stove and let the radiant heat warm your bones. Radiant heat is better than forced air because it heats the surfaces of things not just the air. It’s a consistent heat unlike a furnace that clicks on, then you get hot, and then click off and you get cold.

*Advanced technology– The new EPA certified, air tight, high efficiency wood stoves, have an efficient combustion system. In this system, unburned gases, that would usually go up your chimney, are circulated back into the fire for a secondary burn. This causes more heat to be disbursed into your home and there is less escaping out your chimney. This Combustion system also air washes the glass on your stove. Allowing more viewing pleasure of the fire with less maintenance time involved. It is lifetime warranted with the Pacific Energy & Alderlea woodstoves and can be easily removed (for maintenance) by just pulling the pin in the back of the stove then tilting one side up and then pulling the other side down and out.
